Ready-made colours and materials

Colour & Material libraries

Two libraries are built into the tools so you can pick from a catalogue instead of typing values.

Colour Library

Open it
In any colour picker, click Browse Colour Library.
Tabs
All Colours, Favourites, Project Colours, Custom and Recent. In All Colours you can switch between a grid and a palettes view grouped by colour family, and search by name, shade or HEX.
Pick and copy
Select a colour to see its HEX value. Copy HEX copies it, and the colour is applied to the picker that opened the library.
Favourites and custom colours
Use the star to favourite a colour. To keep a colour that is not in the catalogue, type its HEX value (3 or 6 digits) in the Custom tab and favourite it.
Project colours
Choose a project in the Project Colours tab to keep a palette shared across that job. Create a project first from the Projects page.
Credit
The catalogue is based on Radix Colors. Its licence is available from the credit link inside the library.

Material Library

Open it
In a RenderEdit session, click the Material Library (brick wall) button (brick wall icon).
Tabs and search
All Materials, Favourites and Project Materials. Filter by category and search by name, category or tag. Each material shows its source and licence.
Favourites and projects
Star a material to keep it in Favourites, or add it to the chosen project's materials.
Use a material
Apply the selected material to your image, or choose Save as Node to place it on the canvas as a node you can use later.
